Manager - Business Development

Preference for candidates with experience in automotive OEM wiring harness manufacturing / 5 to 7 years of experience/ experience in Engineering / Manufacturing Industry,preferably from Bangalore etc.
Responsibilities
- Strategy and Planning: Develop and execute strategic sales plans tailored to the capital equipment market to achieve and exceed sales targets and business goals / Develop and implement effective sales strategies for capital equipment and machines.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, generate leads through various channels (e.g., direct calls, exhibitions, industry events, and client visits), and manage the entire sales cycle from inquiry to closure.
- Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with key clients, including OEMs, large corporations, and decision-makers (e.g., CEOs, engineers, and procurement teams).
- Techno-Commercial Negotiation: Lead complex techno-commercial negotiations for high-value contracts and tenders, ensuring terms meet both customer and company needs.
Team Leadership and Management: Recruit, train, mentor, and motivate a team of sales professionals, setting clear targets and conducting performance reviews. Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and smooth operations. Conduct regular sales meetings and performance reviews with the sales team.
Market Analysis: Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to stay ahead of the curve and adapt sales strategies accordingly.
- Collaboration: Work closely with internal departments such as engineering, production, logistics, and finance to ensure seamless operations, product development, and customer satisfaction.
- Reporting and Forecasting: Prepare detailed sales reports, track sales performance metrics, manage the sales pipeline using CRM software, and provide accurate forecasts to senior management.
- Travel: Conduct extensive travel within the assigned region or nationally/internationally to meet clients, visit sites, and explore new business opportunities
