The Sales Executive / Business Development Manager is responsible for identifying, developing, and maintaining strong business relationships with ship owners, operators, agents, and other maritime stakeholders. The role focuses on generating new sales, expanding market presence, and ensuring excellent customer service for vessel provisioning and marine supplies.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
Identify and approach new clients (ship owners, operators, charterers, port agents).
Maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure repeat business.
Understand ship supply needs (provisions, deck/engine stores, spares, bonded items) and provide tailored solutions.
Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms with clients while ensuring profitability.
Collaborate with operations and procurement teams to ensure timely and accurate delivery of supplies.
Monitor competitor activity and market trends to identify growth opportunities.
Attend port visits, client meetings, and industry networking events.
Prepare regular sales reports, forecasts, and business development plans.
Ensure compliance with port regulations, customs requirements, and company policies.
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong sales and negotiation skills.
Knowledge of the shipping industry, port operations, or chandlery business.
Excellent communication (written & verbal) and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
Self-motivated, target-driven, and adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
Problem-solving mindset with customer-first approach.

Pay: ₹8, ₹30,399.32 per month
