Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic
Area Sales Manager
to join our team. This role requires a results-driven professional with in-depth experience in
dairy products sales
, strong market knowledge, and proven leadership skills to manage and grow sales in the assigned territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for Ghee and SMP.
- Build and manage relationships with distributors, retailers, institutional buyers, and channel partners.
- Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitor activities, identify new opportunities, and ensure strong market presence.
- Negotiate and finalize deals with institutional clients to drive volume sales.
- Work closely with the marketing team to implement trade promotions and activation plans.
- Recruit, train, and manage a team of sales executives/distributors for effective territory coverage.
- Prepare regular sales reports, MIS, and market feedback for management.
Key Requirements
- Education:
Graduate/MBA in Sales, Marketing, or related field preferred. - Experience:
Minimum
8–10 years of proven experience
in sales of
dairy products (Ghee & SMP)
in both retail and institutional segments. - Strong network of distributors and institutional buyers within the dairy industry.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and team management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving ability with a focus on achieving targets.
- Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned area.
