Role & responsibilities

    1. Financial Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the companys short- and long-term business goals.
  • Monitor financial performance by measuring and analyzing results, initiating corrective actions, and minimizing the impact of variances.
    1. Financial Reporting & Compliance
  • Oversee preparation of accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements (Income Tax, GST, Companies Act, Customs, FEMA, etc.).
  • Liaise with auditors, regulatory authorities, and legal advisors.
    1. Taxation (Direct & Indirect)
  • Lead strategic tax planning for corporate tax, GST, customs duties, and international tax matters.
  • Ensure timely filing and compliance with all tax returns, assessments, and litigations.
  • Implement tax-efficient structures for international transactions.
    1. Foreign Exchange (Forex) Management
  • Monitor and manage foreign currency exposure and hedging activities.
  • Analyze forex markets and recommend risk mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain effective relationships with banks and currency dealers for favorable forex rates.
    1. Trade Finance
  • Oversee all trade finance operations including Letters of Credit (LCs), Bank Guarantees, Buyers' Credit, Export Credit, and other trade instruments.
  • Ensure timely realization of export receivables and management of import payments.
  • Optimize working capital through efficient trade finance mechanisms.
    1. Treasury & Fund Management
  • Manage cash flow, investment, and funding strategies.
  • Ensure optimal capital structure and cost of capital.
  • Develop banking relationships and negotiate funding arrangements.
    1. Budgeting & Cost Control
  • Drive the annual budgeting process and monitor variances.
  • Implement cost control measures across departments and ensure profitability.
    1. Team Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
  • Lead and mentor the finance team, building a high-performance culture.
  • Collaborate with EXIM, operations, sales, and procurement teams to align financial goals with business strategy.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Strong knowledge of export-import finance, taxation, and regulatory compliance.
  • Expertise in foreign exchange risk management and trade finance products.
  • Strategic financial planning and analytical skills.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation, and communication abilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Tally/Oracle) and MS Excel.
