Development Alternatives Low-carbon Building Materials for Sustainability programme focuses on real transformation to reduce carbon emissions substantially and build resilience against the negative impacts of climate change. DA conducts research and develops building materials that use industrial, construction and demolition (C&D), and agri waste and have low-embodied energy. Technologies including Fly Ash Bricks, EcoKiln, and Limestone Calcined Clay Cement (LC3) are among the innovative solutions that DA delivers. 3. JOB DESCRIPTION/ RESPONSIBILITIES:
Reporting to the Associate Programme Director the Business Manager will be responsible for expanding and scaling the LC3 Technology Transfer business of TARC across India and other strategic priority regions, driving growth, fostering collaborations, and ensuring impactful implementation of the technology.
Key Responsibilities:
(1) Expand and grow the business of TARC by atleast 25% year-on-year;
(2) Responsible for building on existing relationships and contacts with various clients;
(3) Develop and expand new client base in the cement industry, worldwide with an aim to grow the business of TARC;
(4) To maintain partnerships and develop new networks to grow the LC3 business;
(5) Drive business growth, income and continuous improvement of services thereby creating maximum business revenues for the company;
(6) Launch new business initiatives relating to the construction sector based on increased availability of LC3 material worldwide;
(7) Affirm leadership position of TARC with high quality delivery of consultancy and technical services.
4. QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND COMPETENCIES:
Qualifications:
Applicants must hold a degree in any Engineering or Science discipline, along with a postgraduate qualification in Business Administration or Management.
Experience:
(1) Minimum three to five years of experience in business development within a reputed company or consultancy organization;
(2) Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the cement, concrete, or allied industries.
Key Skills and Competencies:
(1) Must be proficient in English with excellent communication skills;
(2) Excellent knowledge and understanding of technology related businesses;
(3) Strong computer and software skills;
(4) Demonstrated experience to work independently and deliver performance;
(5) Must be a self-starter with multi-tasking ability.
5. COMPENSATION OFFERED:
The gross compensation for the position can be up to a maximum of Rs. 7.68 lacs per annum, depending on the candidate's qualifications, experience, and skills.
