Role & responsibilities
1. Tendering & Bid Strategy
- Lead the end-to-end tendering and proposal preparation for Solar, BESS, and T&D projects (AIS/GIS Substations, Transmission Lines, and Hybrid Systems).
- Develop and implement bidding strategies aligned with market conditions, client expectations, and SR Green Sources growth objectives.
- Conduct Bid/No-Bid assessments (Gate 1 & Gate 2) in coordination with management and functional heads.
- Review and interpret tender documents (technical, commercial, and legal) to identify risks, opportunities, and compliance requirements.
- Prepare techno-commercial proposals, pricing sheets, and cost estimates ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with tender specifications.
- Ensure timely submission of bids through government and private e-tendering portals (e.g., SECI, NTPC, PGCIL, DISCOMs, EESL, IOCL, State Utilities).
2. Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Finance, Legal, and Project Management teams for proposal inputs and validation.
- Liaise with OEMs, vendors, and subcontractors for budgetary offers and technical support.
- Support the Business Development and Sales teams in client presentations, clarifications, and technical discussions during pre- and post-bid stages.
3. Governance & Risk Management
- Ensure all proposals adhere to SRR Projects internal approval process, risk assessment, and compliance framework.
- Review terms & conditions related to payment, taxation, warranties, and performance guarantees with Legal and Finance teams.
- Participate in internal deal risk review and approval meetings before bid submission.
- Maintain accurate bid documentation, version control, and records for audit and future reference.
4. Market Intelligence & Process Improvement
- Monitor industry trends, competitor pricing, and policy updates in Solar, Storage, and Power Transmission sectors.
- Propose improvements in bid formats, costing methodologies, and digital tools for tender management.
- Contribute to the standardization of templates, cost databases, and benchmarking practices for future projects.
5. Leadership & Resource Planning
- Plan and manage tendering team workload, resource allocation, and timelines to meet submission deadlines.
- Mentor and develop team members in technical evaluation, costing, and bid documentation.
- Foster a culture of integrity, collaboration, and excellence within the Tendering team.
Preferred candidate profile :
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (mandatory).
- Postgraduate qualification in Business Management / Project Management / Energy Systems is desirable.
Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in Tendering, Proposals, or Estimation roles within Power EPC / Renewable Energy / Transmission & Distribution domains.
Proven track record of handling large-scale tenders for:
Solar Power Projects (Utility-scale, Floating, and Hybrid Systems)
- Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS)
Transmission & Distribution (132–765 kV Substations and Lines)
Experience dealing with major clients like SECI, NTPC, RECPDCL, PGCIL, IOCL, HPCL, State Utilities, and private developers.
Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of Electrical Systems Design, Protection, SCADA, and EPC cost structures.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, SAP/ERP, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with national and state e-tendering platforms.
