Role Overview:

We are looking for a dedicated
Legal Associate (Corporate & Tax Law)
to join our team. The role involves advising clients on corporate transactions, structuring, compliance, and taxation matters, along with drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of agreements. The candidate will be expected to work closely with clients, deliver timely legal solutions, and support the firm in handling both advisory and contentious work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drafting, vetting, and negotiating commercial contracts, shareholder agreements, joint ventures, and other corporate documents.
  • Advising on company law, FEMA, SEBI, and related corporate compliance requirements.
  • Researching and advising on direct and indirect tax issues, including GST, income tax, and tax planning strategies.
  • Assisting in corporate restructuring, mergers, acquisitions, and due diligence exercises.
  • Representing clients before tax authorities and supporting in tax litigation matters.
  • Preparing legal opinions, research notes, and strategy papers on complex corporate and tax law issues.
  • Keeping up-to-date with latest legal developments, regulatory updates, and tax reforms.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

  • LL.B. (LL.M. in Corporate/Tax Law is an added advantage).
  • 2–3 years of post-qualification experience in corporate law and taxation (law firm or corporate in-house).
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and research skills.
  • Understanding of corporate governance, compliance frameworks, and taxation laws.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
  • Good communication skills and client-handling ability.
