Job Description: Payroll Executive

Position Title: Payroll Executive
Department: Human Resources / Finance
Location: [Insert Location]
Reporting To: HR Manager / Payroll Manager / Finance Head
Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, HR, or a related field

 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Process monthly payroll accurately and on time for all employees

  • Maintain and update employee data such as attendance, leaves, and salary changes

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements like PF, ESIC, PT, Income Tax, and TDS

  • Coordinate with HR and Finance teams for inputs like new joiners, exits, and salary revisions

  • Generate salary slips and payroll reports

  • Handle employee payroll queries and resolve discrepancies

  • Reconcile payroll accounts and assist in internal/external audits

  • Stay updated with changes in tax and labor laws

  • Manage full and final settlements for exited employees

  • Work with payroll software (e.g., SAP, GreytHR, Zoho Payroll, ADP, etc.)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Finance, or HR

  • Familiarity with payroll software and Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, etc.)

  • Strong knowledge of statutory compliance in payroll

  • Attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines

  • Good communication and coordination skills
