
Sales Development Representative

Proem Sports is a sportstech firm working with sport and live event organisations to drive commercial performance. We have built a customer data platform which unifies data from all fan touchpoints to provide in-depth analytics, a fan segmentation engine and marketing capabilities to deliver actionable insights along with engagement capabilities. We are currently expanding our target market and looking at entering other industries.
We're seeking an experienced SDR (2 years) who can thrive in an early-stage environment and collaborate closely with our founder to establish our go-to-market approach. This is not a traditional SDR role – you'll have significant input into our sales process development while executing high-quality outbound campaigns. The ideal candidate has experience working directly with founders and enjoys building processes from the ground up.
Key responsibilities:Targeted Outbound:Identify and engage marketing leaders at companies matching our ICPExecute personalized email LinkedIn outreach focused on specific pain points
Qualify prospects based on team size, current tool stack, and growth challenges
Book discovery calls with qualified prospects for our founding team
Prospect intelligence:Document prospect feedback, objections, and competitive insights
Maintain detailed prospect profiles in HubSpot to inform nurture strategies
Collaborate with product team to share voice-of-customer insights that shape roadmap
Create weekly snapshot reports tracking pipeline metrics and conversion rates
Inbound Support:Qualify and nurture inbound leads from website, events, and content
Help optimize lead magnets and content offers for our target personas
Support webinars and virtual events to engage prospects
Test messaging variations to improve response rates
Qualifications:2 years in B2B SaaS sales development or demand generation
Demonstrated ability to consistently hit or exceed outbound meeting targets and assigned sales quota
Strong discovery skills - able to identify prospect pain points and qualification signals
Excellent written communication - crafts personalized, response-worthy messages
Hands-on experience using Sales tools like Apollo, Sales Navigator, ZoomInfo, and CRM like HubSpot, etc.Genuine interest in marketing technology and empathy for resource-constrained teams
Excellent communication, rapport building, presentation, and negotiation skills
Proven track record of effective problem-solving and working in a highly collaborative role with cross-functional teams
Customer-centric mindset & attention to detail
Requirements:2-4 years of relevant work experience as a BDR/SDR or Account Executive in B2B SaaS companies is mandatory.Relevant experience in Salestech, Lead Generation, IT Services & Consulting companies is a plus.Hands-on experience using multiple outbound sales techniques.Bachelor's degree is required.Preferred:Experience selling to marketing leaders or growth teams
Familiarity with marketing automation, customer engagement, or CDP landscapes
Previous work with early-stage startups or experience in high-growth environments
Basic understanding of marketing channels (email, push, SMS, WhatsApp)
