The Senior M365 Administrator/Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the Microsoft 365 environment within an organization. This position involves advanced administration of applications like Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams, Azure Virtual desktops and Intune. This role requires extensive experience in Microsoft 365 administration, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to stay updated on the latest features and best practices.
Key Responsibilities
1. Exchange and Email Management
Managing Exchange Online, managing mail flow, distribution lists, and mailbox configurations.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex email-related issues to ensure seamless communication.
2. SharePoint and OneDrive Administration
Configure and maintain SharePoint sites, lists, libraries, workflows, and permissions.
Manage OneDrive for Business, ensuring proper setup and user access.
3. Teams and Telephony Solutions
Set up and manage Microsoft Teams for collaboration, including channels, meetings, and integrations.
Integrate and manage telephony solutions within Teams to enhance communication capabilities.
4. Device Management with Intune and Autopilot
Deploy and manage devices using Microsoft Intune and Autopilot, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.
Monitor and troubleshoot device enrolment and management issues to maintain operational efficiency.
5. Security and Compliance
Configure and enforce security settings and compliance requirements across Microsoft 365 applications.
Collaborate with IT and security teams to ensure adherence to industry standards and regulations.
6. Migration and Integration
Plan and execute migrations, upgrades, and integrations of Microsoft 365 with other systems and platforms.
Stay updated on new features and capabilities of Microsoft 365, recommending improvements and optimizations.
7. User Support and Training
Provide training and support to end-users on Microsoft 365 applications and features.
Document and maintain configurations, processes, and procedures related to Microsoft 365.
8. Mentorship and Expertise
Act as a subject matter expert for all Microsoft 365-related applications, mentoring team members and sharing best practices.
Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, and Autopilot.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Relevant certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator, Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert) are a plus.
Must have Skills
Advanced knowledge of M365 apps (Exchange, SharePoint, OneDrive, Teams).
· Expertise in Exchange and email management.
· Proficient in SharePoint and OneDrive administration.
· Advanced knowledge of Azure AD and Intune endpoint management, including design and architecture.
· Strong PowerShell scripting skills for reporting, automation, and troubleshooting.
· In-depth understanding of Mobile Device Management (MDM).
· Experience with Azure Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments.
Good to have Skill
· Familiarity with Microsoft Graph API.
· Knowledge of Azure security best practices and tools.
· Experience with migration projects and project management.
