Magari Furniture is currently present in Bangalore, Hyderabad & Kochin, with each store being over 10,000 sqft, and is going to continue to expand its presence across the country. Magari currently retails Furniture, Kitchens & Wardrobes, and also has Fabric & Furnishings in its stores, retailed under the name of Yavanika.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Purchase Executive to support our procurement operations in a busy furniture manufacturing environment. The role involves assisting in sourcing raw materials such as wood, hardware, upholstery, and consumables, negotiating with vendors, tracking inventory levels, and ensuring timely deliveries to support uninterrupted production.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying and sourcing quality materials (wood, laminates, plywood, hardware fittings, foam, fabric, etc.) as per production requirements.

  • Issue purchase orders, track deliveries, and maintain purchase records accurately.

  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and resolve any issues related to quality, delays, or quantity discrepancies.

  • Assist in price negotiations and maintain cost-efficiency while ensuring quality standards.
    • Maintain and update vendor database and supplier evaluations.

  • Work closely with the store, production, and design departments to ensure raw material availability.

  • Support inventory control by tracking stock levels and reordering when necessary.

  • Follow up on pending orders and prepare regular procurement status reports.

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and quality standards in procurement.

  • Support the Purchase Manager in day-to-day activities and any ad hoc procurement tasks.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • 1–3 years of experience in procurement or purchase, preferably in furniture or manufacturing industries.

  • Basic understanding of raw materials used in furniture manufacturing.

  • Good negotiation and communication skills.

  • Proficiency in MS Office (especially Excel); knowledge of ERP systems is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in vendor management and local sourcing.

  • Knowledge of furniture hardware and fittings.

  • Familiarity with supply chain or inventory software (e.g., Tally)

Offered Salary: 35,000 – 40,000 per month

Working Conditions:

  • Based at the factory office with occasional visits to suppliers or vendors.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹35, ₹40,000.00 per month
