Key Responsibilities:

  • The responsibilities of the travel desk include optimizing travel operations and making travel arrangements at local and international levels.
  • Sourcing the best travel vendors/agencies and evaluating prices and services.
  • Negotiating preferred rates with travel vendors
  • Planning and executing travel arrangements - accommodations, booking flights, hotels, car rentals, and coordinating activities.
  • Managing and processing all travel-related documentation, including payments, itineraries, visas, medical, and legal forms.
  • Maintaining cordial relationships with travel vendors, such as car rentals, hotels, and airlines.
  • Providing guidance and support on travel arrangements to travelers and ensuring a smooth travel experience.
  • Assisting with any travel-related issues that may arise including queries/support required in odd hours due to different time zones, traveling during odd hours, etc.
  • Creating, optimizing, and monitoring corporate travel policies.
  • Ensure compliance in all aspects of travel procedures.
  • Drive continuous improvement of travel programs.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in tourism, travel, or hospitality. Master's degree in relevant areas shall be preferred.
  • Certification in travel or hospitality may be advantageous.
  • 8+ years of experience in the Travel Industry.
  • Hotel negotiations and vendor relationship management.
  • Should have a strong working knowledge of travel management processes, alternative travel arrangements, and visa processes, etc.
  • Knowledge of international travel regulations, customs, and currencies.
  • Excellent understanding of Geography at local and international levels.
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and negotiation skills.
  • Focused and attention to detail.
  • Hands-on and approachable leadership style.Customer-oriented approach.
  • Proficient in MS Office, Preparing various reports, Dashboards, etc.
