Job Description

Role Summary:

Responsible for designing, configuring, and implementing ServiceNows Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro) module to manage software assets, optimize license usage, and ensure compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop and configure ServiceNow SAM Pro modules including normalization, reconciliation, reclamation, and software model management.

Integrate SAM Pro with CMDB, Discovery, Procurement, and other ServiceNow modules.

Build and maintain data models for license metrics, entitlements, and compliance reports.

Automate license harvesting, reclamation, and software normalization processes.

Customize workflows, UI policies, client scripts, and business rules.

Implement software publisher packs and manage integrations with external systems (e.g., SCCM, Tanium, Flexera).

Ensure data quality and compliance with licensing policies and audits.

Collaborate with ITAM, procurement, and compliance teams for continuous optimization.

Generate dashboards, reports, and KPIs for software asset tracking and cost savings.

Required Skills:

Strong experience with ServiceNow SAM Pro and ITAM modules.

Knowledge of Discovery and CMDB relationships.

Proficiency in JavaScript, Glide API, Flow Designer, and IntegrationHub.

Understanding of software licensing models (Microsoft, Adobe, Oracle, IBM, etc.).

Experience with MID Servers, integrations, and data imports.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist SAM Pro.

ServiceNow System Administrator certification.

Experience in ITIL and asset lifecycle management.

Exposure to hardware asset management (HAM) is an advantage.
