About the Role:

We are seeking a
Senior Manager (Data & Operations)
with a strong background in fabric, apparel, and merchandising management to lead a cross-functional team handling domestic and international clients. The ideal candidate will combine analytical expertise with strategic merchandising leadership, ensuring smooth coordination between design, production, and business teams. This role is ideal for a results-driven professional who can transform operational data into actionable insights while effectively managing people and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of merchandisers and designers across domestic and export operations.
  • Oversee end-to-end merchandising processes — from sampling and costing to production and delivery.
  • Collect, analyze, and interpret data related to fabric sourcing, production performance, lead times, and vendor management.
  • Prepare and maintain MIS reports, cost analyses, performance dashboards, and forecasting tools for management review.
  • Collaborate closely with design, production, and quality teams to improve efficiency, reduce wastage, and optimize turnaround time.
  • Monitor fabric quality, consumption, wastage, and vendor performance through detailed data insights.
  • Conduct business analysis to identify growth opportunities, cost optimization, and process improvements.
  • Liaise with vendors, buyers, and internal stakeholders to ensure clear communication and timely project execution.
  • Work with IT/ERP teams to enhance data tracking, automation, and reporting systems.
  • Present key analytical insights and operational reports to management for informed decision-making.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Fashion Management, Data Analytics, or Business Administration.
  • 7–10 years of experience in merchandising, data analysis, or operations within the fabric or apparel industry.
  • Proven experience in managing teams handling domestic and international clients.
  • Strong understanding of fabric types, garment construction, costing, and production workflows.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI for reporting and analytics.
  • Familiarity with IT systems (Zoho, Salesforce, or similar).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
