We are looking for an astute purchasing officer to oversee purchasing activities in the company and ensure that purchased items are both high margins and quality. The purchasing officer's responsibilities include formulating strategies for purchase according to the companies goal in the FMCG, F&V Category, building an efficient team, training & supervising staff, maintaining positive supplier relations (Local manufacturers & Brands), evaluating supply options, approving purchases after the final negotiation, and maintaining accurate records, To maintain the inventory according to the demand and forecasting future needs by working together with the operations team.

  • Formulating strategies for overall purchase and maintaining inventory according to the demand
  • Overseeing and supervising employees and all activities of the purchasing department.
  • Preparing plans for the purchase of FMCG, F&V (Local manufacturers & Brands) services and supplies.
  • Following and enforcing the company's purchasing policies and procedures.
  • Reviewing, final negotiation, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
  • Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
  • Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges, etc.
  • Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
  • Researching and evaluating prospective suppliers.
  • Preparing budgets, cost analyses, and reports.
