What You'll Do
Volvo Cars has established the SAP CoE where it acts as the strategic and governance layer for SAP landscape. SAP CoE owns Volvo Cars SAP roadmap, process standards, and overall architecture to ensure fit-to-standard adoption and value realization from SAP investments. SAP CoE governs release and change-management policies, cybersecurity and compliance controls, and acts as the design authority for global templates.

We are seeking a highly experienced and proactive SAP Operations Lead to govern and execute end-to-end operation processes across our SAP landscape. This is a strategic role responsible for ensuring high-quality, stable, and timely deliveries while strictly adhering to SAP CoE governance, architecture principles, and security standards. The role demands a balance of technical depth, governance leadership, and operational excellence.

You as an SAP Operations Lead with in SAP CoE, will manage the operational excellence of SAP BASIS operations, monitoring, performance tuning, patching, incident/problem resolution, documentation, knowledge retention, and collaboration with the in-house SAP Product teams to ensure stability & reliability. You will also collaborate with vendor team to ensure agreed SLA & KPIs are met, and cost optimization is being done to keep the application cost in control month by month.

As SAP Operations Lead, you will oversee and manage all facets of SAP Operations, ensuring seamless performance, reliability, and high availability of SAP applications across Volvo Cars. In your capacity, you will be responsible for change management, problem management, and conducting in-depth root cause analysis while meticulously managing SLAs and KPIs to guarantee the seamless execution of operational deliveries.

In this role you will develop annual roadmaps for critical maintenance activities including SAP kernel updates, cybersecurity patching, infrastructure-related patching, and SAP version upgrades etc. You will also ensure the security and regular auditing of database backups are done, Disaster Recovery Plans (DRP), and Infrastructure Recovery Plans (IRP) are always up to date, this is quite vital for maintaining a robust and sustainable SAP environment that supports business operations at Volvo Cars.

Below are few but not limited to, high level task overview to give you an understanding.

• Short Maintenance Windows: You will plan and ensure maintenance activities are completed efficiently within minimal downtime, reducing impact on business operations.
• High Availability: You will ensure SAP systems consistently deliver high availability outcomes that exceed target levels, ensuring reliable access for users.
• Lifecycle Management: You will plan and ensure effective management of application lifecycles, including timely upgrades and patching, to maintain the system stability and compliance.
• Security Maintenance: You will ensure ongoing security measures are in place to protect SAP environments, supporting compliance and risk mitigation.
• Audit and Compliance- You will be responsible for meeting all expectations from external and internal Auditors; by ensuring all audit logs and evidence are captured and kept safely.

What You'll Bring
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated and results-oriented individual with a strong background in SAP operations. You have a proven track record of successfully leading SAP operations and working with different SAP modules and processes.

• A minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• A solid understanding of SAP implementation methodologies and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve complex SAP issues.
• Knowledge of industry-related regulations and compliance requirements is preferred.
