About this role
As a Senior TS&D Specialist based in Navi Mumbai, you will support customer needs by developing new applications and providing technical knowledge on Dow products. You will define projects that deliver technical solutions to customers and markets, requiring an understanding of key business drivers and the ability to expand your knowledge in your discipline. You will provide informal guidance to new team members and explain complex information to others. Using your technical experience, established practices, and personal judgment, you will analyze and resolve straightforward problems, impacting the quality of your work and your team's work while adhering to established guidelines and policies. You will lead the design, formulation, and optimization of hybrid, silicone, PU, and other sealants, evaluate new raw materials, curing systems, and facilitate local sourcing and drive lab-to-plant scale-up, troubleshoot production challenges, and ensure robust product commercialization.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Service & Customer Engagement: Provide on-site and off-site technical support, including product demonstrations, application guidance, and troubleshooting.
• Review and Training: Review customer designs and specifications to ensure correct product selection and application and deliver hands-on training and mock-up demonstrations.
• Commercial Team Collaboration: Work closely with the commercial team to promote products, support key customer trials, and win specifications in major projects.
• Lab Work and Sales Support: Conduct experimentation and testing in the lab to help convert opportunities into successful commercial sales and identify new leads for profitable growth.
• Specification & Standards Work: Develop and maintain technical specifications for products in line with EN, ASTM ISO, and regional building codes, and support the preparation of technical data sheets and certification packages.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with marketing, sales, technical teams (local & global), and procurement to accelerate product launches, meet customer requirements, and support customer events and product promotions.

Qualifications

• Master's or bachelor's degree in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Materials Science, or Chemical Engineering.

• years of experience in sealants/adhesives formulation, application technology

• Proven expertise in hybrid polymer technologies, silane-modified polymers, silicone and PU systems.

• Strong knowledge of adhesion science, curing mechanisms, and durability testing.

• Experience in customer-facing technical service, specification work, and application demonstrations.

• Familiarity with construction standards and building codes relevant to sealing & bonding.

Additional Notes:

• Relocation support is not available for this role.
