Job Title: Senior Sales & Service Engineer – Crane Rail Systems

Reporting To: Head – Sales & Technical Services / Regional Manager
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales & Service Engineer with 7–8 years of experience in the crane rail metal industry. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical acumen, proven sales expertise, and excellent communication skills to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of crane rail projects – from client engagement and sales to installation, commissioning, and after-sales service.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Business Development
Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the crane rail and heavy industrial sectors.
Understand client requirements and recommend suitable crane rail solutions (rails, clips, pads, welds, anchors).
Develop technical proposals, commercial offers, and tender documentation.
Conduct product presentations, demos, and technical discussions with clients and consultants.
Meet or exceed monthly and annual sales targets.
Maintain CRM entries, sales pipelines, and activity reports.
Client Communication & Relationship Management
Act as the primary point of contact for client communication throughout the project lifecycle.
Build and maintain long-term relationships with key clients, contractors, and procurement teams.
Address client concerns promptly and provide technical clarification when required.
Ensure a professional and solution-oriented approach in all customer interactions.
Installation & Commissioning
Lead or supervise the installation and commissioning of crane rail systems on client sites.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, site layouts, and material specifications.
Coordinate with internal teams (design, logistics, QA/QC) to ensure timely project delivery.
Monitor installation quality, alignment, and conformance to safety standards.
Ensure completion of handover documentation, alignment reports, and commissioning checklists.
After-Sales Service & Support
Perform troubleshooting and maintenance services for installed crane rail systems.
Handle AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts) and warranty service support.
Provide training to client personnel for operational best practices and minor maintenance.
Maintain service logs and feedback for continuous improvement of product and service offerings.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering.
7–8 years of experience in sales and technical service in the crane rail or heavy fabrication industry.
Strong understanding of crane rail components (rails, pads, clips, welds, anchorage).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to present confidently to technical and non-technical audiences.
Proven ability to manage sales pipelines and close deals.
Experience in site supervision, project execution, and client coordination.
Proficiency in MS Office, CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho), and basic AutoCAD knowledge.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Desirable Attributes:
Self-driven and target-oriented.
Willingness to travel for site visits, client meetings, and installation supervision.
Knowledge of thermite welding, rail alignment techniques, and structural anchoring is a plus.
Familiarity with safety standards and site protocols (HSE, OSHA, etc.).
