Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Management:
  • Maintain and manage the inventory of chemicals and other warehouse materials.
  • Regularly check stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of items.
  • Implement efficient inventory control systems (e.g., FIFO, LIFO).
  • Safety & Compliance:
  • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations specific to chemical handling are strictly followed.
  • Conduct safety audits and ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards (e.g., OSHA, ISO).
  • Handle hazardous materials with care and ensure proper labeling and storage.
  • Coordination:
  • Coordinate with suppliers and transportation companies to ensure the timely arrival of shipments.
  • Work closely with procurement and production departments to align inventory levels with demand.
  • Documentation:
  • Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing shipments, inventory levels, and warehouse transactions.
  • Ensure proper documentation for chemical storage, including safety data sheets (SDS), and shipment tracking.
  • Warehouse Operations:
  • Supervise the loading and unloading of goods.
  • Organize the layout of the warehouse to optimize space and material handling.
  • Manage warehouse staff and ensure productivity targets are met.
