Program Associate- MSH Schemes

Job Summary

The Program Associate – MSH Schemes (Consultant) will support the execution, monitoring, and documentation of various schemes under MeitY Startup Hub (MSH). The role requires strong analytical and operational capabilities to manage scheme workflows, data-driven tracking, and coordination with partner institutions, incubators, and startups. The candidate will assist in maintaining scheme databases, preparing structured reports, ensuring compliance with program guidelines, and driving efficient scheme governance. The role is ideal for individuals seeking hands-on experience in India's innovation and startup ecosystem.
Roles and Responsibilities

 Support end-to-end coordination of MSH schemes, including onboarding, documentation review, verification of deliverables, and compliance checks.

 Manage scheme-related datasets, trackers, MIS dashboards, and performance monitoring sheets on Excel/Google Sheets.

 Assist in analyzing partner submissions, progress reports, UCs, proposals, milestone documents, and highlight discrepancies or required clarifications.

 Coordinate with incubators, implementing agencies, and startups to gather data, progress updates, and supporting documents within defined timelines.

 Maintain organized digital records and ensure accuracy of scheme documentation for audit and reporting purposes.

 Conduct research on incubators, startups, funding programs, and innovation trends to support scheme enhancements.

 Ensure timely follow-up, reminders, and communication with all stakeholders for efficient scheme implementation.

Skills and Competencies Technical & Analytical Skills.

 Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets, including:

 Data cleaning and validation

 Lookup functions (VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP).

 Pivot tables, filters, and conditional formatting.

 Basic charts and dashboards

 Ability to maintain structured MIS trackers and monitor KPIs across multiple programs.

 Basic data interpretation skills for reviewing partner reports and identifying gaps.

Startup Ecosystem Competence

Technical & Analytical Skills

 Fundamental understanding of India's startup landscape, incubators, funding schemes, and innovation programs.

 Interest in working with technology-driven programs and early-stage startup initiatives.

 Ability to understand scheme guidelines and translate them into actionable tracking mechanisms.

Documentation & Coordination Skills

 Strong drafting skills for preparing emails, notes, reports, and summary documents.

 Ability to prepare clear and well-structured presentations on PowerPoint.

 Good administrative and organizational skills with high attention to detail.

 Ability to coordinate across multiple stakeholders and follow up systematically.

 Ability to work in a fast-paced, process-oriented environment with a willingness to learn quickly.

Qualifications and Experience Essential:

 Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Management, Economics, Commerce, Engineering, or related fields).  0–1 year of experience in data handling, program coordination, research, operations, or administrative roles.

 Freshers with strong analytical skills and interest in the startup ecosystem may apply.

Desirable:

 Internship/experience in incubators, accelerators, government programs, research institutions, or development-sector projects.

 Familiarity with government documentation, file processing, and project reporting.

 Exposure to maintaining datasets, trackers, or dashboards for projects or academic work.

1. Experience shall be counted post-qualification only.

2. MeitY Startup Hub reserves the right to fill all, some, or none of the advertised positions without assigning any reason.

3. All appointments are purely temporary and project-based and do not confer any right to permanent employment or future recruitment under MSH.

4. MSH reserves the right to terminate the engagement with one month's notice or by paying one month's consolidated consultancy fee in lieu of notice.
