About the Role:

We're looking for a Psychologist to join us as the Director of Programs -a leadership position for someone who can build the heart of Mrineh's classroom programs.

You'll design and oversee how students experience emotional learning from content structure to delivery flow and ensure every session is grounded in psychological truth, ethical standards, and emotional resonance.

This is not a counseling role, it's a creative, academic, and impact leadership role shaping India's first large-scale emotional education model.

**Key Responsibilities:

  1. Program Design & Curriculum Development:

  2. Lead the creation, design, and sequencing of Mrineh's classroom modules.

  3. Build frameworks for how each session flows, stories, activities, reflectioEnsure student well-being protocols are clearly defined and followedns, and emotional objectives.
  4. Ensure all content is psychologically accurate, age-appropriate, and culturally relevant.

  5. Define emotional learning outcomes and measurable impact indicators for each topic.

  6. Classroom Experience & Delivery

  7. Work closely with facilitators to design student-centered, experiential sessions.

  8. Review scripts, tone, and language to ensure sensitivity around triggering topics (e.g. anxiety, rejection, bullying).
  9. Create facilitator handbooks and response guidelines for handling emotional conversations safely

  10. Attend pilot sessions to observe, refine, and improve classroom impact.

  11. Psychological Integrity & Ethics

  12. Maintain scientific and ethical grounding in every aspect of Mrineh's work.

  13. Review all student-facing content for compliance with mental health best practices.

  14. Build internal training modules on empathy, communication, and boundaries for the facilitation team.

  15. Research, Evaluation & Feedback

  16. Build simple research frameworks to evaluate emotional growth or behavioral outcomes after sessions.

  17. Collect and analyze feedback from students, teachers, and facilitators to refine future content.

  18. Stay updated with global best practices in SEL (Social & Emotional Learning) and adapt them to Indian classrooms.

  19. Collaboration & Leadership.

  20. Collaborate with Mrineh's founders, creative writers, designers, and educators to co-create the full emotional journey.

  21. Lead and mentor junior psychologists, facilitators, and program associates as the team grows.
  22. Represent Mrineh in school partnerships, psychology panels, and academic collaborations.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Psychology (preferably Clinical, Counselling, or Child Psychology).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in mental health, education, or program development.
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, ability to simplify psychology for young minds.
  • Deep empathy, leadership ability, and passion for emotional education.
