Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Development professional with strong exposure to the IT staffing / IT consulting services industry. The role involves client acquisition, relationship management, and revenue generation through selling staffing solutions to enterprise and mid-size clients.

Key Responsibilities

1. Client Acquisition

  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities in the IT staffing domain.
  • Perform prospecting via cold calling, emails, LinkedIn, referrals, and industry networking.
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline.

2. Client Requirement Understanding

  • Engage with hiring managers and procurement stakeholders to gather IT staffing requirements.
  • Understand required tech skills, project context, experience levels, location, and budget.

3. Relationship Management

  • Establish long-term relationships with key decision makers within client organizations.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for client escalations and service discussions.

4. Sales Pitching & Negotiation

  • Present tailored staffing proposals, SOWs, and service offerings.
  • Negotiate commercials, rates, and contract terms to close deals successfully.

5. Sales Target Achievement

  • Achieve monthly/quarterly sales revenue and client acquisition targets.
  • Track and report progress on business development KPIs.

6. CRM & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate log of interactions, proposals, and pipeline status on CRM tools.
  • Ensure proper documentation of agreements and client communication.

7. Market & Competition Intelligence

  • Stay updated on IT hiring trends, niche skill demand, rate cards, and competitor moves.

8. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal recruitment teams to ensure timely sourcing and delivery.
  • Provide customer feedback to improve service delivery and candidate fitment.

9. Upselling & Retention

  • Identify opportunities to upsell additional staffing or consulting services to existing clients.
  • Support post-closure delivery to maintain client satisfaction and renewals.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of experience in Business Development / Sales in IT Staffing or Consulting.
  • Demonstrated success in client acquisition and revenue achievement.
  • Strong understanding of IT skills, hiring models, and staffing lifecycle.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems for pipeline and activity tracking.
  • Ability to work independently in a target-driven environment.
