Purchase Executive Key Responsibilities

 Procurement Management

o Source, evaluate, and purchase IT equipment (laptops, desktops, servers, networking devices, peripherals, etc.) and software licenses.

o Manage the end-to-end procurement process — from request to purchase order to delivery and invoicing.

o Obtain and evaluate quotations from multiple vendors to ensure best price, quality, and delivery terms.

o Ensure timely renewal of software licenses, AMC (Annual Maintenance Contracts), and service subscriptions.

 Vendor Management

o Build and maintain strong relationships with IT vendors, suppliers, and service providers.

o Negotiate pricing, contracts, and payment terms with vendors.

o Maintain an updated database of approved vendors and suppliers.

o Evaluate vendor performance based on delivery, support, and product quality.

 Inventory & Asset Control

o Track IT assets and maintain accurate records of purchases, warranties, and licenses.

o Coordinate with the IT support team for inventory audits and stock management.

o Ensure compliance with IT asset disposal and replacement policies.

 Documentation & Reporting

o Prepare purchase orders, comparison sheets, and procurement reports.

o Maintain records of procurement activities in ERP or purchase management systems.

o Report procurement status, cost savings, and vendor issues to management.

 Compliance

o Ensure all purchases comply with company procurement policies and budget approvals.

o Stay updated on IT product trends and market prices.

Qualifications & Skills

 Education: Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Business Administration, or related field.

 Experience: 2–5 years of experience in IT procurement or purchasing.

 Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with IT products (hardware, software, networking, licensing models, etc.).

 Skills:

o Strong negotiation and communication skills.

o Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP, or procurement systems.

o Attention to detail and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

 Experience with ERP systems (SAP)

 Knowledge of IT asset management practices.

 Understanding of IT vendor ecosystems and service-level agreements (SLAs).

Location : Pune
