About the Role

As a Senior Social Media Manager, you'll be at the forefront of shaping Zolo's digital brand voice. You'll lead social media strategy across platforms, drive engagement, and build campaigns that amplify Zolo and Z Scholar's presence. This role offers creative freedom, high ownership, and the opportunity to collaborate with leadership to influence community engagement and business outcomes. You may start by managing social media for one vertical — such as Zolo Co-living or Z Scholar — with scope to expand across multiple business units and lead a team over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and execute social media strategy for Z Scholar across Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, and other relevant platforms.
  • Plan and manage content calendars, campaigns, engagement activities, and storytelling initiatives.
  • Collaborate with design, video, and community teams to maintain consistent brand identity.
  • Track and analyze performance metrics, optimize campaigns, and leverage paid social campaigns to boost reach and engagement.
  • Stay ahead of trends, memes, and youth culture to keep Zolo's digital presence fresh, relevant, and impactful.
  • Use AI tools (like ChatGPT) for content creation, automation, and data-driven insights.
  • Mentor and guide content interns, designers, and video editors to deliver high-quality campaigns.

Skills & Traits We Look For

  • Hands-on experience managing social media for youth-first, lifestyle, or digital-first brands.
  • Proven ability to grow and manage large social handles (Instagram, YouTube, LinkedIn).
  • Strong copywriting, scripting, and creative storytelling skills.
  • Working knowledge of paid social campaigns, content optimization, and analytics.
  • Analytical mindset with attention to detail and ability to iterate campaigns.
  • Creative thinker with a pulse on Gen Z and youth trends.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.

Education & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Mass Communication, Marketing, Journalism, or related fields. MBA/PG in Marketing or Communications preferred but not mandatory.
  • Industry: Social media, digital-first brands, lifestyle, or performance marketing teams in startups or agencies.

Experience: 3–6 years managing social media for youth-focused brands, including experience with content strategy, paid campaigns, and team management. Candidates with experience in AI tools for content creation and social strategy are highly preferred.
