Job Purpose:

The Territory Sales Officer (TSO) is responsible for driving sales growth within the assigned territory by managing distributors, retailers, and field operations. The role focuses on achieving sales targets, ensuring product visibility, and strengthening market presence through effective relationship management and execution of sales strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales targets for the assigned territory.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with distributors, retailers, and key channel partners.
  • Ensure product availability and visibility across outlets.
  • Conduct regular market visits to monitor competitor activities and market trends.
  • Execute trade marketing initiatives and promotional schemes effectively.
  • Track primary and secondary sales and ensure accurate reporting.
  • Coordinate with the supply chain and finance teams to ensure smooth order processing and collections.
  • Recruit, train, and motivate sales representatives or merchandisers (if applicable).
  • Provide daily/weekly sales updates and market feedback to management.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Good knowledge of OTC / FMCG / Consumer Goods distribution systems.
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, sales reporting, and CRM tools.
  • Self-motivated, target-oriented, and adaptable to field challenges.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Graduate in any discipline
  • 14 years of experience in field sales, preferably in Pharmaceuticals.
  • Must have a valid two-wheeler and driving license.
