* JOB DETAILS:

The Role:

The candidate will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and amending Charter Party contracts, liaising with counterparties, and ensuring timely and accurate execution in line with corporate policies.

Key Responsibilities:

* Draft, review, and amend Charter Party agreements and addenda based on fixture recaps and client requirements.

* Liaise with Shipowners, Brokers, and counterparties to facilitate negotiations and execution.

* Manage contracts on global platforms, ensuring terms are documented accurately and promptly.

* Oversee the end-to-end Charter Party process, from drafting to execution and follow-up.

* Incorporate and review clauses on liability, indemnity, demurrage, etc., to mitigate client risks.

* Address and resolve issues or disputes arising during drafting and execution.

* Support commercial operations and contribute to process improvements and related projects.

Required Skills & Experience:

* Minimum 5 years relevant experience, ideally in drafting and managing shipping contracts/Charter Parties.

* Familiarity with Charter Party forms (e.g., NYPE, SUGAR 99) and industry terminology (dry commodities, marine, port operations).

* Proficiency in Charter Party software, Word, and Excel.

* Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

* High attention to detail with the ability to handle complex commercial/legal documents.

* Strong organizational skills to manage multiple contracts in a fast-paced environment.

* Proactive, self-driven team player with ownership mindset.

* Willingness to work extended hours when required.

Educational Qualification:

* Graduate in any discipline with a Post-Graduation in Shipping Management or MBA in Supply Chain Management.
