Job Overview

Chandak Agarwal & Co is seeking a Mid-Level Chartered Accountant to join our dynamic team in Mumbai. This is a full-time position that requires a skilled professional to manage and execute various financial tasks, ensuring compliance and efficiency in our operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in GST and auditing standards to support our quality service delivery.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Proficient in GST accounting and familiar with the preparation and filing of GST R-9 and GST R-9c forms to ensure compliance.
  • Strong understanding of auditing practices and standards to review and analyze financial documentation accurately.
  • In-depth knowledge of taxation laws and regulations to assist in accurate tax preparation and planning strategies.
  • Excellent attention to detail to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information and reports.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently to manage accounting tasks efficiently.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret data and make data-driven decisions for financial efficiency.
  • Outstanding communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members, ensuring clear understanding.
  • Time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and file GST returns, including GST R-9 and GST R-9c, ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations.
  • Conduct comprehensive audits to assess financial operations and ensure adherence to auditing standards and practices.
  • Provide strategic tax planning advice and prepare accurate tax returns to optimize clients' tax positions.
  • Analyze financial statements to identify areas of improvement and recommend action plans to management.
  • Collaborate with clients to address their financial needs and provide tailored solutions to meet their objectives.
  • Stay updated with changes in accounting standards and tax laws to ensure the firm remains informed and compliant.
  • Supervise junior staff and assist in their professional development to build a competent accounting team.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed financial reports and documentation to support audit processes and organizational strategy.
