Role Overview
The Sales & Development professional will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and building strong customer relationships. This role combines sales execution with business development, ensuring both short-term revenue targets and long-term market expansion are achieved.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Growth
- Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in assigned territories.
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to increase product penetration.
- Monitor competitor activities and provide insights for strategy adjustments.
Business Development
- Identify new market opportunities and potential customer segments.
- Expand product reach into untapped markets and channels.
- Collaborate with marketing teams for promotions, product launches, and campaigns.
Market & Customer Insights
- Gather feedback from customers and trade partners for product improvement.
- Conduct market research to track consumer preferences and industry trends.
- Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for management.
Operations & Coordination
- Ensure smooth execution of promotions.
- Coordinate with production team and logistics teams for timely product availability.
- Support in collections and credit management with partners.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong understanding of FMCG distribution channels
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Ability to analyse sales data and translate it into actionable strategies.
- Result-oriented with strong business acumen.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
- 2–7 years of experience in FMCG sales & business development (depending on role level).
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets in competitive FMCG markets.
