Job Role: Sales & Business Development

Role Overview

The Sales & Development professional will be responsible for driving sales growth, expanding market presence, and building strong customer relationships. This role combines sales execution with business development, ensuring both short-term revenue targets and long-term market expansion are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Revenue Growth

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets in assigned territories.
  • Develop and execute effective sales strategies to increase product penetration.
  • Monitor competitor activities and provide insights for strategy adjustments.

Business Development

  • Identify new market opportunities and potential customer segments.
  • Expand product reach into untapped markets and channels.
  • Collaborate with marketing teams for promotions, product launches, and campaigns.

Market & Customer Insights

  • Gather feedback from customers and trade partners for product improvement.
  • Conduct market research to track consumer preferences and industry trends.
  • Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and presentations for management.

Operations & Coordination

  • Ensure smooth execution of promotions.
  • Coordinate with production team and logistics teams for timely product availability.
  • Support in collections and credit management with partners.

Key Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of FMCG distribution channels
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Ability to analyse sales data and translate it into actionable strategies.
  • Result-oriented with strong business acumen.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and CRM tools.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field.
  • 2–7 years of experience in FMCG sales & business development (depending on role level).
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets in competitive FMCG markets.
