Job Purpose

  • Support the team in developing and optimizing Airline domestic and international route network, ensuring alignment with the airline's commercial and operational goals.
  • Assist in analyzing and evaluating potential route expansion opportunities, contributing to the airline's growth and efficiency.

Key Accountabilities

1. Data Analysis and Reporting

  • Collect and analyze data related to route performance, market trends, and competitor activities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage commercial and operational data sets to ensure robust reporting and informed decision-making within the network planning team.

2. Route Evaluation

  • Assist in formulating both long-term and short-term network strategies and help seek management approvals for execution.
  • Identify and assess opportunities for network expansion by performing economic projections and viability assessments for existing and new markets.

3. Hub Management

  • Support the planning, implementation, and maintenance of efficient hub structures and connections for proposed planning scenarios.
  • Maintain and circulate detailed data to internal stakeholders on parameters related to hub and passenger flows.

4. Performance Monitoring

  • Monitor the financial and operational performance of routes and present insights and recommendations to enhance profitability and efficiency.

5. Collaborative Projects

  • Work closely with Revenue Management, Sales, and other Commercial teams to ensure effective implementation of route development strategies.
  • Act as a point of contact with Marketing and Corporate Communication teams for all network-related strategy details and communications.

6. Operational Support

  • Prepare detailed reports and dashboards to assist in route planning and strategic adjustments.

     Collect and incorporate feedback to align route planning with broader network and revenue goals.

     Collaborate on data analysis to enable effective decision-making.

External:

  • Airports and Tourism Bodies

Educational and Experience Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business Administration, Aviation Management, or a related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum: 3–5 years of experience in a data-driven analytical role, preferably in airline route planning.
  • Desired: 5+ years of experience in an airline environment focusing on network planning and strategic development.
