Simaero is an international group specializing in airline pilot training, as well as the operation and maintenance of flight simulators.

The company provides services to more than 220 clients in over 80 countries through a network of more than 30 flight simulators located across four training centers: Paris and Dinard (France), Johannesburg (South Africa), and Zhengzhou (China).

Simaero also owns its own training academy (ATO), certified by more than 50 leading authorities, including EASA in Europe and SACAA in South Africa, offering a comprehensive range of training programs on Airbus, Boeing, ATR fleets, among others.

Join Simaero's India team to lead the commercial growth of our new Delhi NCR training centre.
This flagship facility will feature eight full-flight simulator bays (including our first A320-neo simulator) and will serve airlines and pilots across India and neighboring markets. In this role, you will drive airline sales, expand our ATO (Approved Training Organisation) services, and maximize simulator utilization to establish Simaero as the premier flight training provider in the region.

Mission

As the Senior Manager, Commercial & Business Development for Simaero India, your mission is to spearhead all commercial activities for the Delhi NCR training centre. You will develop strategic partnerships and sales channels, ensuring high utilization of our simulators and training services. Working closely with airline clients and internal teams, you will translate Simaero's global expertise into strong business growth in India.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Pipeline Development:
    Build and manage a robust sales pipeline for simulator time, simulator leasing, and training (ATO) services. Identify and pursue new business opportunities with airlines, flight schools, and other aviation partners across India and nearby markets.
  • Commercial Offer Structuring:
    Design attractive commercial packages (e.g. type ratings, recurrent and conversion training programs, bundled services) to maximize simulator bay utilization and meet client needs. Tailor offerings for different customer segments to drive revenue and market share.
  • Contract Negotiation & Partnerships:
    Lead negotiations for multi-year contracts, respond to RFPs, and forge strategic partnerships with airlines, operators, and industry stakeholders. Secure long-term agreements that ensure steady simulator usage and expand Simaero's footprint in the region.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Coordinate closely with Operations, Legal, and Finance teams to smoothly hand over closed deals for execution. Participate in commercial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting to align sales outcomes with operational capacity and financial goals. Ensure all contracts and partnerships comply with company policies and contribute to sustainable growth.

Profile

Experience & Skills Required:

  • Industry Experience:
    8+ years of experience in airline/aviation commercial roles, simulator or ATO sales, or related aerospace business development. A strong network in the aviation industry and familiarity with flight training services is highly desirable.
  • Sales & Negotiation Skills:
    Proven track record in negotiating and closing complex deals (e.g. multi-year contracts, partnerships). Excellent persuasion and negotiation abilities, with a talent for crafting win-win proposals and long-term client relationships.
  • Financial Acumen:
    Solid experience in financial modeling, pricing strategies, and revenue forecasting. Able to structure deals and analyze their commercial viability, ensuring they meet profitability and utilization targets.
  • Entrepreneurial Mindset:
    Hands-on, proactive approach with the ability to operate in a start-up/scale-up environment. Comfortable with ambiguity and capable of setting up processes from scratch. Demonstrated leadership in driving new initiatives and growth projects.
  • Mobility:
    Willingness to travel across India (and occasionally internationally) to meet clients, attend industry events, and oversee business opportunities as needed.
