Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Remote Desktop Support Engineer with over 5 years of experience supporting Mac and Windows operating systems. The ideal candidate will provide expert-level remote technical support to end-users, troubleshoot hardware and software issues, and ensure smooth operation of desktops, laptops, and associated applications across distributed environments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide remote desktop support for Windows and macOS platforms to internal and/or external users.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues effectively and efficiently.
  • Assist with the setup, configuration, and deployment of laptops and desktops remotely.
  • Handle operating system upgrades, patch management, and application installations.
  • Manage and support remote desktop access tools (e.g., TeamViewer, AnyDesk, Remote Desktop Services, etc.).
  • Provide technical assistance with device management tools such as Microsoft Intune, Jamf, or other MDM solutions.
  • Support users in Microsoft 365/Office 365 environments, including Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Maintain asset inventory, update documentation, and log all issues/resolutions in ticketing systems like ServiceNow, Zendesk, or Jira.
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement and maintain security best practices.
  • Provide timely and professional communication to end-users during issue resolution.
  • Contribute to knowledge base and internal documentation for common issues and solutions.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience in remote desktop support or technical support roles.
  • Proficiency in both macOS and Windows OS support (troubleshooting, setup, and configuration).
  • Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange/Outlook, and Microsoft 365.
  • Experience with remote support tools and ticketing systems.
  • Familiarity with mobile device management (MDM) platforms like Jamf, Intune, or similar.
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts (VPN, DNS, DHCP, firewalls).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
