We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Architect to lead a large-scale data deprecation and cleanup initiative. This individual will be responsible for assessing, planning, and guiding the decommissioning of 20 years' worth of legacy Salesforce data across multiple account projects. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical strategist who can evaluate the current environment, define the technical requirements, and lead engineering efforts to streamline and modernize our Salesforce ecosystem.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess the current Salesforce data architecture, with a focus on 20+ years of legacy data and account-related projects.
  • Define the strategy and roadmap for data deprecation, archival, and cleanup while maintaining compliance and data integrity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, business analysts, and engineering teams to determine business and technical requirements.
  • Design and implement scalable data models, governance frameworks, and best practices for ongoing Salesforce data management.
  • Provide technical leadership during execution, ensuring quality, security, and performance of all data cleanup activities.
  • Support engineering teams in building required tools and automations for data migration, archival, and purging.
  • Conduct impact assessments and risk analyses to ensure minimal disruption to business operations.
  • Provide ongoing guidance, documentation, and knowledge transfer to internal teams.

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Salesforce Architect, Technical Lead, or similar senior Salesforce role.
  • Strong expertise in Salesforce platform architecture, data modeling, and integrations (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, etc.).
  • Demonstrated experience leading large-scale data cleanup, archival, or deprecation projects.
  • Deep understanding of Salesforce data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
  • Ability to gather business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions.
  • Proficiency in Apex, SOQL, Lightning framework, and Salesforce APIs.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Salesforce Certified Application Architect or System Architect certification.
  • Experience with data migration/ETL tools (e.g., MuleSoft, Informatica, Data Loader).
  • Familiarity with enterprise architecture frameworks and technical documentation best practices.
