Role & responsibilities

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Executive Purchase to join our pharmaceuticals procurement team. The primary focus of this role is new vendor development and sourcing Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) to support our manufacturing needs. The ideal candidate will have strong negotiation skills, a deep understanding of the pharmaceutical supply chain, and the ability to build and maintain vendor relationships to ensure the consistent supply of high-quality materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify, evaluate, and develop new vendors for sourcing APIs and other pharmaceutical raw materials.
  • Conduct vendor audits, assess capabilities, and ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards.
  • Negotiate commercial terms, prices, delivery schedules, and payment terms with vendors to optimize procurement costs.
  • Collaborate with R&D, Quality Assurance, and Production teams to ensure materials meet required specifications.
  • Manage vendor qualification processes, including documentation and performance monitoring.
  • Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and raw material pricing to recommend strategic sourcing decisions.
  • Maintain and update vendor databases and procurement records.
  • Ensure timely delivery of APIs and related materials to meet production schedules.
  • Coordinate with logistics and supply chain teams to manage import/export documentation and compliance.
  • Support risk management initiatives by identifying potential supply risks and developing contingency plans.
