
Purchase Executive

The Purchase Executive will be responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services essential for our operations. This includes sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing from both domestic and international suppliers. The role demands a thorough understanding of procurement processes, excellent negotiation skills, and the ability to build and maintain strong supplier relationships. The Purchase Executive will report to the Procurement Manager and work closely with various departments to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Procurement Management**:
- Oversee the end-to-end procurement process, from requisition to delivery.
- Source and evaluate potential suppliers, both locally and internationally.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and conditions with suppliers to ensure the best value for the company.
**Supplier Relationship Management**:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance and manage supplier risks.
- Resolve any issues or discrepancies with suppliers promptly.
**International Procurement**:
- Handle all aspects of international procurement, including import/export regulations, tariffs, and logistics.
- Coordinate with freight forwarders and customs brokers to ensure smooth and timely delivery of international shipments.
- Stay updated on international market trends and changes in regulations.
**Cost Management**:
- Develop and implement cost-saving strategies without compromising on quality.
- Conduct regular market research to identify cost-effective purchasing opportunities.
- Manage procurement budgets and ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
**Quality Assurance**:
- Ensure all procured items meet the required quality standards and specifications.
- Work with the quality control team to address any quality issues.
**Documentation and Compliance**:
- Maintain accurate records of all procurement transactions and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements, including ethical sourcing and environmental standards.
- Prepare and submit procurement reports to management as required.
**Inventory Management**:
- Collaborate with the inventory management team to optimize stock levels.
- Monitor inventory levels to prevent overstocking or stockouts.
- Implement efficient inventory control measures.
**Qualifications**:
**Education**: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
**Experience**: Minimum of 4-6 years of experience in procurement, with significant exposure to international procurement.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- In-depth knowledge of procurement processes, policies, and best practices.
- Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to analyze market trends and supplier performance.
- Familiarity with import/export regulations and international trade laws.
