Job Summary:

The Regional Sales Manager (RSM) will be responsible for driving and managing sales operations in the Uttar Pradesh region. This role involves overseeing area business performance, ensuring achievement of regional sales targets, managing and mentoring Area Sales Managers (ASMs) and field teams, and implementing strategic business plans to expand market share. The ideal candidate should have strong leadership skills, sound market knowledge, and a proven track record of success in pharmaceutical sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Achieve sales, revenue, and growth targets for the assigned region.
  • Lead, motivate, and manage a team of Area Sales Managers and their respective territories.
  • Develop and execute regional sales strategies aligned with company objectives.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends, competitor activities, and sales performance to identify growth opportunities.
  • Strengthen relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs), distributors, Stuckists, and institutional clients.
  • Ensure proper implementation of marketing and promotional strategies.
  • Review team performance regularly and provide training, guidance, and support to ensure productivity.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, logistics, finance) to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare and present regional sales reports, forecasts, and performance reviews to senior management.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and company policies.

Desired Candidate Profile:

  • Graduate in Science, Pharmacy, or Commerce; MBA in Marketing preferred.
  • 8–12 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare sales, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
  • Proven ability to lead and develop sales teams to achieve business goals.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Uttar Pradesh pharmaceutical market and key stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, and strategic planning skills.
  • Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the assigned region.
