Purpose:

The Civil Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and procuring construction-related materials, equipment, and subcontractor services necessary for large scale infrastructure (capex) projects. This role ensures the timely delivery of goods and services in alignment with project schedules and budgets.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies for civil related needs such as roads, buildings, utilities, and other infrastructure services for the plant.
  • Source and evaluate suppliers, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure quality, cost-effectiveness, and reliability.
  • Manage end-to-end procurement processes including tendering, bid evaluation, contract negotiation, and award.
  • Work closely with project managers to understand project requirements and timelines.
  • Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong relationships to ensure timely delivery and resolution of issues.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational procurement policies and relevant construction regulations and standards.
  • Review and negotiate contracts and terms to mitigate risk and protect company interests.
  • Track procurement KPIs such as cost savings, lead time, delivery performance, and supplier reliability etc.,
  • Maintain accurate records of procurement activities, contracts, and supplier databases.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in civil engineering, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in procurement within the civil construction or infrastructure sector is preferable.
