Specialist - Metrics, Analytics & Reporting

We are seeking a talented individual to join our Metrics, Analytics & Reporting team at Marsh. This role will be based in Mumbai/ Pune/ Gurgaon. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

The Management Intelligence (MI) team is seeking an experienced and proactive Reporting Analyst with intermediate to advanced Portuguese skills for a distributed agile team. You will be part of the Reporting Services Team and will be responsible for effectively monitoring and delivering on multiple global and regional reports (specifically for Latin American region). You will become familiar with the reporting processes and will be generating the reports within the agreed SLA timeframe. You will also be responsible for report validation, managing access to the reports, managing reporting incident and problem tickets, and supporting end users with reporting queries. You will be working closely with the development team to troubleshoot and document reporting issues and provide regular communications to the end users of the reports. Reporting into the Reporting Operations Team Lead, you will be a key member of a team at the centre of Marsh's data journey and will serve as an advocate for the power of data.

We will count on you to:

• Carries out delivery of BAU reporting under the supervision of senior colleagues.

• Perform data analysis under supervision of senior colleagues to support both BAU reporting and provide  support for Incidents and Requests for Information.

• Manage ADO tickets end to end and provide status updates / raise potential blockers during daily stand up.

• Adhere to established BAU reporting procedures with support from senior team members to ensure that SLAs are achieved, and the needs of both internal and external customers are consistently met and exceeded.

• Review handover documentation and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOP's) under the guidance of senior colleagues.

• Draft reporting incident communications for review and distribution by senior colleague.

What You Need to Have:

Technical Skills

• 2 - 3 years working as a reporting analyst (or supporting role) in an agile environment with globally distributed teams.

• Intermediate to advanced level of Portuguese is required to support Latin American reporting

• Knowledge of data visualization tools (preferably Qlik Sense and PowerBI) to manage online reports.

• Ability to problem solve reporting issues as they arise.

• Knowledge of agile methodologies, in particular Kanban.

• Good understanding of MS Office Suite: Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint and Outlook

Interpersonal skills – every bit as important as the technical side

• Collaborating and working well with others; you will be working closely with your colleagues in the Reporting Services team as well as the other teams within MI (Business Analysis, Data Quality and Data Prep, Development team, Regional Reporting Teams and the Data Operations team) and outside of MI (Data Strategy, Qlik Admin team).

• Excellent communication skills including the ability to explain technical issues to a business audience and vice-versa. Providing regular reporting updates to our stakeholders, in addition to documentation of our reporting processes isa key part of the role.

• A continuous learner with the ability to problem solve quickly as reporting issues arise; being proactive and taking end to end ownership of reporting issues.

• Effective time management skills and the ability to prioritize deliverables.

• Influencing and negotiation skills in a virtual / remote environment. You will be based in India and will be working closely with the Reporting Services team members based in Ireland, UK and India. 

What makes you stand out:

• Experience with using a Kanban board, in particular Azure DevOps

• Beginner to Intermediate level of Spanishto support reporting in Latin America region

• Experience with using ServiceNow for service ticket management

• Exposure to tools such as SQL, Python, PowerQuery, VBA, QlikView, Qlik Sense, Business Objects

• Understanding of the insurance and / or insurance broking domain
