The Commi 1 – Continental is responsible for preparing, cooking, and presenting continental dishes as per restaurant standards. The role requires excellent knowledge of continental cuisine, maintaining hygiene, and assisting senior chefs in kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook continental menu items as per recipes and standards.
  • Handle daily mis-en-place and ensure all ingredients are fresh and properly stored.
  • Assist CDP and Sous Chef in planning and executing food preparation.
  • Maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation.
  • Ensure proper portion control and minimize food wastage.
  • Follow all hygiene, sanitation, and safety procedures as per FSSAI guidelines.
  • Check and maintain proper functioning of kitchen equipment.
  • Coordinate with team members for smooth kitchen operations.
  • Ensure clean and organized working stations at all times.
  • Support in receiving and checking deliveries of raw materials.
  • Follow instructions of senior chefs and complete tasks on time.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as Commi 1 in a continental kitchen.
  • Strong understanding of continental cuisine, sauces, grills, pastas, salads, etc.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • Diploma/Certificate in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts (preferred).
  • 1–3 years of experience in a similar role.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹18, ₹20,500.00 per month
