Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Planning Engineer with expertise in Microsoft Project (MSP) to oversee project planning, scheduling, and progress tracking. The ideal candidate will work closely with project managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure timely execution of projects while optimizing resources and mitigating risks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, update, and maintain project schedules using Microsoft Project (MSP).
  • Prepare work breakdown structures (WBS), Gantt charts, and critical path analysis.
  • Monitor project progress, identify bottlenecks, and suggest corrective actions.
  • Coordinate with different departments to align project timelines with available resources.
  • Analyze project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare detailed reports on project timelines, costs, and resource allocation.
  • Assist in project budgeting and forecasting.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and client requirements.
  • Provide project status updates to stakeholders and senior management.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in project planning and scheduling.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Project (MSP) for scheduling and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of project management principles and scheduling techniques.
  • Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Strong communication and coordination abilities.
  • Experience with Primavera P6 is a plus (optional).
