Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a DGM / GM – Training & Development in the Textile / Spinning Industry. The position is located in Chennai. The individual will be responsible for designing and implementing training programs, conducting employee training sessions, developing employee learning and development strategies, and utilizing instructional design skills to enhance training effectiveness. This role involves working closely with various departments to identify training needs and ensure that employees are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles effectively.

  • Employee Learning & Development and Instructional Design skills
  • Strong organizational and leadership skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in the textile or spinning industry is a plus
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field is preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Formulate and execute the
    Plant-wide Learning & Development strategy
    .
  • Conduct
    training need analysis (TNA)
    and build competency matrices for all levels.
  • Oversee design and delivery of
    technical, safety, and soft-skill programs
    .
  • Implement and sustain
    5S, Kaizen, Lean, and TQM practices
    .
  • Mentor and build the internal trainer network across departments.
  • Develop
    leadership pipeline and succession planning frameworks
    .
  • Collaborate with Production and HR Heads to align learning with KPIs.
  • Manage
    training budgets, metrics, and audits (ISO, Buyer, and Compliance)
    .
  • Drive employee engagement and welfare programs to enhance retention.
  • Represent the organization in external L&D forums and industry collaborations.
