The role involves supporting the development and implementation of a comprehensive security strategy for HR data usage across all systems, ensuring both role-based and layer-based security controls. It includes managing the security of HR systems, such as Workday, ADP, Concur, etc to maintain data integrity and secure our platforms. Regular risk assessments are conducted to identify vulnerabilities, with mitigation strategies developed and implemented accordingly. The position also requires enforcing data protection measures, including encryption and access controls, and performing risk assessments for both HR and non-HR systems. Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions are implemented to monitor and control access to HR data. Continuous monitoring mechanisms are established to detect anomalies and adapt to evolving security policies. The role supports the design and implementation of automated systems for managing security access, ensuring efficient and secure access control. It also involves assessing downstream systems that handle employee and HR data to ensure compliance with security standards and seamless integration with HR platforms. Collaboration with HR, IT, and other departments is essential to embed security measures across all HR operations. Additionally, the role includes preparing and presenting regular reports on HR system security activities, incidents, and improvements to senior management.

Who You Are

The Human Resources Security Lead will assist in developing and implementing a comprehensive security strategy for HR data across all HR and non-HR systems. This role involves supporting the creation of a role-based and layer-based security framework, including a Security Automation management system. The Lead will oversee day-to-day security operations within the HR department, focusing on the protection of sensitive employee data and HR systems.
 

Required Skills & Key Responsibilities:
  • Support Security Strategy Development: Assist in designing and implementing a security strategy for HR data usage across all systems, ensuring role-based and layer-based security.
  • HR System Security Management: Manage the security of HR systems, including but not limited to Workday, ADP, One Model, etc. ensuring data integrity and protection against cyber threats
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct regular risk assessments to identify potential security threats and vulnerabilities within HR systems. Develop and implement strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Data Protection: Implement and maintain data encryption, access controls, and other security measures to protect sensitive employee information. Enforce data protection measures and conduct risk assessments for HR and non-HR systems.
  • IAM Solutions: Implement Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions to monitor access to HR data.
  • Continuous Monitoring: Implement continuous monitoring mechanisms to detect threats and regularly review evolving policies.
  • Automation of Security Access: Assist in designing and implementing automated systems for managing security access to HR data and systems, ensuring efficient and secure access control.
  • Downstream System Assessment: Assess downstream systems that include employee and HR data to ensure they meet security standards and integrate seamlessly with HR systems.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with HR, IT, and other departments to integrate security measures into all aspects of HR operations.
  • Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on HR system security activities, incidents, and improvements to senior management.
Qualifications & Experience :
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in information security, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in data security and privacy management, preferably in Workday or other HR systems/tools.
 
Preferred Skills:
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with various departments and present reports to senior management.
  • Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in security technologies, strategy & policies, and automated security access tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Ability to conduct thorough risk assessments and develop strategies to mitigate identified risks.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work collaboratively with HR, IT, and other departments to ensure integrated security measures.
  • Attention to Detail: Keen attention to detail to ensure compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements.
