Job Description

Designation: Assistant General Manager (Projects)

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of Assistant Project Managers / Project Managers to handle all kinds of interiors projects, client meetings, overseeing project deadlines, and work completion.
  • Review Design with respect to adherence to clients brief, buildability, completeness, and coordination of drawings, adherence to budget and specifications.
  • Define and manage the project estimate/budget.
  • Manage risks and take timely corrective measures in consultation with the Head of Projects.
  • Coordinate interdependencies among various Specialist Verticals (e.g., design, MEP, Procurement, etc.).
  • Track and manage Project Revenue (client billing) and Project Expenses (vendor payments).
  • Visit sites regularly and provide quality reports, ensuring design and specification compliance.
  • Liaise closely with Business Services teams to ensure accurate & robust budget monitoring against project plans and report it further to the Head of Projects.
  • Convene and chair coordination meetings with external partners, stakeholders, and internal project teams.
  • Manage project closeout including but not limited to final remeasurement & billing, O & M manuals, and a Built drop.
  • Manage and utilize resources across projects.
  • Manage the technical aspects of the project, including the selection of finishes and fittings.
  • Assist the Business Development department in preparing the comprehensive design and cost package. Be the technical representative of the company during the project acquisition process.
  • Traveling and attending site meetings within the city and beyond is required.
  • Track and monitor benefits realization against planned targets.
  • Ensure post-project reviews are in place and include lessons learned exercises which identify both positive and negative outcomes to be actioned.
