The Resort Cook will be responsible for preparing high-quality Arabian ,Chinese and Indian dishes, ensuring consistency, authenticity, and exceptional taste. This role involves menu planning, food preparation, and maintaining a clean and efficient kitchen environment while adhering to health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Arabian and Chinese dishes, including appetizers, main courses, and desserts, following traditional recipes and presentation standards.
  • Develop and update menu items in collaboration with the Head Chef, incorporating seasonal ingredients and guest preferences.
  • Ensure food quality, taste, and presentation meet the resort's high standards.
  • Maintain inventory of ingredients and supplies, ensuring timely reordering to avoid shortages.
  • Adhere to all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene regulations, keeping the kitchen clean and organized.
  • Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations during peak service hours.
  • Accommodate special dietary requests and ensure allergen-free meal preparation when required.
  • Stay updated on culinary trends in Arabian and Chinese cuisines to enhance menu offerings.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Cook, with at least 3 years of professional kitchen experience specializing in Arabian and Chinese cuisines.
  • Strong knowledge of traditional and modern cooking techniques for Arabian and Chinese dishes.
  • Familiarity with ingredients, spices, and flavor profiles specific to Arabian and Chinese culinary traditions.
  • Culinary certification or diploma from a recognized institution is preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle high-pressure situations during busy service periods.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., HACCP certification is a plus).
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a hot kitchen environment.
  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds and performing repetitive tasks.
