Mandatory skills & JD: MS SQL DBA

JD:

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, optimize, and maintain SQL queries, procedures, and database structures.

• Troubleshoot performance issues, especially related to SQL Server Standard memory limits, tempdb or query optimization plans.

• Implement long-overdue archival strategies for 20+ years of historical data.

• Ensure database reliability, scalability, and compliance with best practices.

• Collaborate with onshore teams to support business-critical operations.

Required Skills:

• Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

• Deep experience with query optimization, indexing strategies, and execution plan analysis

• Strong understanding of tempdb management, memory pressure diagnostics, and IOPS optimization in co-located or constrained environments.

• Experience in using Windows Performance Monitor (PerfMon) to track and analyze SQL Server

• Experience in data lifecycle management, including archival and purging strategies.

• Familiarity with co-located server environments and resource constraints.

• Good communication skills and ability to work independently with remote teams.
