About the Role

Yotta Tech Ports (YTP) is hiring a Senior Microsoft SQL Server DBA for our Hyderabad office. This is a hands-on senior role where you will manage enterprise-grade databases, ensure performance and security, and mentor junior DBAs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases.
  • Handle backup, recovery, replication, and disaster recovery (DR).
  • Optimize performance through query tuning, indexing, and monitoring.
  • Manage security, user access, and compliance.
  • Collaborate with development teams for schema design and SQL best practices.
  • Lead and mentor junior DBAs.

Must-Have Skills

  • 10–15 years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Server DBA.
  • Strong knowledge of performance tuning, HA/DR, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience in security management and user access control.
  • Ability to lead DBA operations in a small enterprise setup.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • Cloud DB experience (Azure SQL, AWS RDS)
  • NoSQL databases (MongoDB, Cassandra, etc.)
  • Scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python, Bash)
  • Microsoft SQL Server certification (preferred, not mandatory)
