Key Deliverables

Financial Outcomes

  1. Cost of Poor Quality and waste reduction: Develop evaluation metrics and tracking cost of poor quality and take proactive measures to reduce wastages and product recalls.
  2. Analytical cost: Control analytical cost against the budget.
  3. Analyze and approve waste with Cost as a Parameter

Customer Services

  1. Customer Interactions: Interactions with customers to meet the various Quality, Food Safety, Regulatory & Compliance requirements which customer seeks from time to time. Monitor the customer complaints and prepare details root cause analysis and mitigation plan.
  2. Product Quality Index /Customer satisfaction index: Monitor and improve product quality index and customer satisfaction index by enhancing RFT.
  3. Ensuring finished goods meet global statutory & regulation compliances like for USFDA/EEC/BRC/ Japan/ SEA requirements as applicable.

Internal Processes

  1. Meet plant key KPIs like CCPMP, GMP, Misc. CPC, Usage variances, % Yield, Process performances
  2. Establish objectives, KPI for the quality department, periodically formulate and get approval from top management on food safety policies and programs
  3. Implement and maintain Quality Systems and Food Safety management system that are in compliance with various quality and food safety standards and regulations.
  4. Establish system and procedures in association with Central/Corporate quality to drive systems, setting-up standards & guidance to implement & improve overall quality of the plant in compliance to Global Group quality requirements
  5. Establish Total Quality management system in the plant by effective maintenance of Incoming materials quality compliance, in-process quality checks (IPQC) and Finished product quality compliance.
  6. Support NPD activities and aid in providing quality and testing requirements.
  7. To handle complaints received from market & trades - Ensure proper documentation, information flow, root cause analysis, CAPA and effectiveness of CAPA.
  8. Ensure renewal and certification of FSSC, 9001, USDFA, Organic, Rainforest Alliance, Kosher and Halal
  9. Conduct Vendor Quality evaluation, vendor audit, approval and assessment of vendor quality and capability, capacity
  10. Prepare SOP, flow chart, establish hazard analysis, identify critical control points (CCP) & its limits, OPRP, PRP. Onsite verification of flow charts, closing of identified gaps, validation and verification process
  11. Conduct monthly GMP audits, integrated pest control management process in the plant
  12. Adopt and maintain awareness and understanding of quality, food safety, regulatory compliance requirements in the unit and create a culture of quality

Innovation & Learning

  1. Actively work with the NPD team for innovations of the new type of products.
  2. Generate Competency matrix of workmen and impart training on Quality and Food Safety
  3. Adopt and maintain awareness and understanding of quality, food safety, regulatory compliance requirements in the unit and create a culture of quality and Food Safety.

Critical Factors for the role

  1. Master's / bachelor's degree in food technology / food Process Engineering
  2. 10+ years of relevant work experience in Quality Management / new product development
  3. Experience in Instant Tea Ops, Solubles, Coffee, Tea or Dairy Operations
  4. Experience in Quality Management Systems, HACCP, ISO, Food safety management systems and auditing
  5. Has good understanding of QA and NPD process
