Role & responsibilities

  • Execute end-to-end statutory audit engagements for clients across various industries (e.g., manufacturing, IT, financial services,Tourism).
  • Plan and perform risk assessments and design audit procedures accordingly.
  • Ensure compliance with Indian GAAP, Ind AS, Companies Act, and relevant audit standards (ICAI/ISA).
  • Perform substantive testing, analytical review, and vouching/verification of financial transactions.
  • Identify control deficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Draft and review financial statements, audit reports, and management letters.
  • Maintain client relationships and act as a point of contact during audit engagements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including tax and advisory functions, for audit support.
  • Assist in audit documentation in line with firm policies and quality standards.
  • Keep up to date with regulatory changes affecting accounting and audit practices.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant (first/second attempt preferred, if applicable).
  • Strong understanding of accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS/AS), auditing standards, and Companies Act.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); familiarity with audit tools (e.g., CaseWare, IDEA, or firm-specific software) is a plus.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines.

Preferred Experience (based on seniority):

  • Experience in auditing listed/unlisted companies, including group audits.
