Role Overview
The Business Manager will oversee the entire business operation in India - driving strategic growth, profitability, and operational excellence. This is a leadership role suited for a commercially astute, hands-on professional who can balance strategic vision with execution.
The successful candidate will enhance market presence, improve efficiency across operations, and lead a motivated team toward achieving long-term business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic & Commercial Leadership
- Define and execute business strategies for sustainable growth and profitability.
- Identify new market opportunities, partnerships, and distribution channels.
- Lead commercial, marketing, and branding initiatives aligned with corporate goals.
- Monitor market trends and competitive activities to inform strategic decisions.
Operational & Financial Management
- Oversee production, hatchery, logistics, and distribution to ensure operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement through effective systems, KPIs, and accountability.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and P&L to achieve financial targets.
- Ensure compliance with high standards of biosecurity, quality, and safety.
People & Organizational Leadership
- Build, develop, and inspire a high-performing, engaged team.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, ownership, and performance excellence.
- Strengthen leadership capabilities and ensure succession readiness.
Stakeholder Collaboration
- Coordinate with global affiliates to leverage expertise and synergies.
- Work with R&D and technical service teams to enhance innovation and customer value.
- Represent the organization in industry forums and with key stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree in Veterinary Science, Animal Science, or Business Administration (combined background preferred).
- Proven 15 leadership experience in agribusiness, animal genetics, or poultry operations.
- Strong track record in commercial growth, operations, and financial management (P&L).
- Excellent communication, leadership, and relationship-building skills.
- High integrity, adaptability, and willingness to travel extensively within India.
