Job Description – CA Inter (Accounts & Taxation Department)

Position Overview

We are seeking a CA Inter qualified candidate to manage and support end-to-end Accounting, Taxation, Compliance, and Financial Reporting functions. The role involves handling GST, Income Tax, TDS, audits, and assisting in financial planning and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

1. Accounting & Financial Reporting

  • Maintain accurate books of accounts and ensure timely posting of all accounting entries.
  • Prepare monthly Trial Balance, adjust entries, and support the finalization of accounts.
  • Assist in preparation of Profit & Loss Account, Balance Sheet, and financial schedules.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to ensure correct booking of revenue, expenses, and provisions.
  • Perform ledger scrutiny, variance analysis, and month-end closing activities.

2. GST (Goods & Services Tax)

  • Prepare monthly GSTR-1 & GSTR-3B returns and ensure timely filing.
  • Reconcile GST input credit with GSTR-2A/2B and identify mismatches.
  • Handle GST payments, challans, and documentation.
  • Assist in GST audit, replying to notices, and managing compliance requirements.
  • Maintain HSN-wise data, stock data, and proper GST records.

3. TDS & Income Tax

  • Manage TDS deductions, payments, and quarterly TDS returns (24Q/26Q).
  • Prepare Form 16/16A, track compliance, and resolve reconciliation issues.
  • Support in advance tax computation, income tax workings, and filing of returns.
  • Assist in preparation of replies for income tax assessments and notices.

4. Audit & Compliance

  • Support Statutory Audit, Internal Audit, Tax Audit, and stock audit activities.
  • Prepare audit schedules, ledger explanations, and documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with Companies Act, accounting standards, and internal controls.
  • Maintain documentation for BIS/HUID, e-way bills, and department requirements (if in jewellery sector).

5. Reconciliation & Controls

  • Perform periodic reconciliation of:
  • Bank accounts
  • Debtors & creditors
  • GST input/output
  • Inter-branch accounts
  • Stock records (if applicable)
  • Monitor internal control processes and suggest improvements.

6. MIS & Data Reporting

  • Prepare monthly MIS reports:
  • Revenue & expense summary
  • Cash flow reports
  • Tax liability trackers
  • Ageing analysis (AP/AR)
  • Provide analytical support to management as required.

Required Skills

  • Strong knowledge of Accounting Standards, GST laws, Income Tax Act, and TDS provisions.
  • Proficiency in Tally / ERP systems and MS Excel.
  • Good understanding of audit processes and financial controls.
  • Strong analytical, documentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with accuracy and deadlines.

Qualifications

  • CA Inter qualified
  • B.Com / M.Com preferred
  • 1–4 years of relevant experience in Accounts & Taxation

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent, Fresher

Pay: ₹18, ₹29,933.62 per month
