Job Title: Area Sales Manager- Karnataka (FMCG Agarbatti Division)
Location: Bangalore
Industry: FMCG
Age: Maximum 45 years
Reporting To: Regional Sales Manager / National Sales Head
Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for achieving sales targets and market share objectives for the Agarbatti division across Karnataka.
- Handle the entire states general trade operations through distributors, wholesalers, and retailers.
- Appoint, develop, and manage distributors in key markets to ensure effective market penetration.
- Lead, train, and motivate the sales team (Sales Officers / Executives) to drive performance and productivity.
- Monitor primary and secondary sales, collections, stock levels, and ensure timely order booking.
- Identify new business opportunities, potential markets, and expansion areas within Karnataka.
- Plan and execute sales promotion activities and retail visibility programs.
- Maintain strong relationships with key trade partners and ensure high customer satisfaction.
- Track competitor activities and provide regular market intelligence reports to management.
- Coordinate with supply chain, marketing, and accounts teams for smooth business operations.
Desired Candidate Profile:
- Graduate / MBA in Marketing or Business Administration preferred.
- Minimum 7-10 years of FMCG sales experience, with at least 7 years as an ASM role.
- Experience in FMCG Food/Agarbatti / Puja products preferred.
- Strong distributor handling and team management skills.
- Must be fluent in Kannada ; English proficiency desirable.
- Should be willing to travel extensively across Karnataka.
- Good knowledge of local markets, retail network, and trade dynamics.
Compensation:Maximum gross 9 LPA + DA
